The strangest sports rules and features – cell throwing!

One of the strangest sports comes from Finland. It is the cell throwing. Who can better than the Finns invent this sport – thanks to Nokia’s residents of Suomi the new strange sports appeared. In the late 90′s an underlying negativity towards the fruits of civilization finally found a form of expression. Primitive, but a sincere way to relieve stress – cellball soon became a national sport and gained popularity in neighboring countries. As for the sport rules the organization of the championships of the Finns came seriously. Acting in the competition can be individual or team one, male, female or junior team. Traditionally, the main criterion for evaluating the throwing distance is considered, but there are other categories, in particular, the judges appreciate the original style and artistry of the throw.

The first competition in mobile phone throwing was held in 2000 in the Finnish town of Savonlinna. Since then the world competition in this "sport" is carried out there. It is called the World Championship on a throwing of mobile phones. Everything is serious - the championship has its own regulations, rules and registration for participation.

People from different countries playing these funny sports come to this competition. Moreover, people from the "Guinness Book of Records" come to fix the new world records. Participation is expected in the team or individual competition. There is a division into male, female, junior (under 12) category. The competition is held in the traditional (who continues to throw) and free (someone throws a prettier and more appropriate) way. In 2004 there was set a world record in the traditional male category - 82 meters 55 centimeters made by the resident of Ukraine. National competitions in throwing "tubes" first appeared in Norway in 2004. In 2005, the national championships were held in Switzerland, Germany and Great Britain.

There are also special sports for fun races concerning the mobile phones throwing. That is races of mobile phones (on an inclined plane with enabled phones shakes must overcome a certain distance), speed dialing SMS-messages and so on. This is a somewhat different nature of competition. They do not carry a psychological purpose, only the goal of entertainment. Therefore, they are not as common as throwing mobile phones. However, they also provide much excitement. To be honest - it is a meaningless pastime, but exciting.

The entertainment today are gradually becoming more and more close to real, not virtual life. That's why the most popular sports are skiing, skating, biking as people are tired from an active presence in the world of modern technology. That's why there are new games to mobile phones as a piece of plastic, rather than as a complex, fragile machine.
