One of the stragest sports is created in Finfland and it is called wife carrying. Wife is a beautiful shot to keep in shape. This simple thought came to mind to the Finnish bandits back in 1800. The ringleaders of gangs have sought to improve its combat readiness of the band, and the robbers had to prove what they are inappropriate. As a kind of test for physical training, many have chosen bride kidnapping. Over the years, from the criminal circles this activity has moved into the world of sports. Championship of the world wife carrying is held annually in the Finnish city of Sonkayarvi.
The sport rules are the following. This one the funny sports is played when a wife sits on her husband's neck, and he flees to 253.5 meters with obstacles from water, sand and grass. RULES
- The official length of the track is 253.5 meters.
- On the route there are two "dry" and one water obstacle.
- You can move your wife, the wife of a neighbor or any other woman, but she must be older than 17 years.
- The minimum weight of "cargo" is 49 pounds. If a woman weighs less, she should wear a heavy backpack to get the missing weight.
- And most importantly - ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE FUN! If the competitor drops his wife, a pair of penalties is awarded - fifteen seconds for each drop.
- At the World Cup winner is declared in only one category: a pair that will show the best time.
- But the most fun couple, the best costume and the strongest carrier will be awarded special prizes.
- In addition to individual competition there held team competition in which they operate the same rules. The difference lies in the fact that the three men in turn are a woman. Passing the torch, the athletes must drink "beverage carrier wives."
